Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview

The Analyst, Commercial Categories supports procurement and supply chain activities for commercial spend categories that enable DePuy Synthes' go-to-market and business operations. This role provides analytical, operational, and coordination support to category managers and cross-functional stakeholders, helping drive cost efficiency, supplier performance, and data-driven decision-making. The position offers broad exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial operations within a global medical device organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support procurement activities for commercial categories, including marketing, sales enablement, professional services, and other indirect spend areas.


  • Analyze spend, supplier performance, pricing, and demand trends to develop reports, dashboards, and insights for category leaders.


  • Assist with the execution of category strategies, including sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, and cost-savings programs.


  • Support contract administration, pricing updates, purchase order processes, and supplier documentation in accordance with procurement policies.


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure alignment with business needs.


  • Track supplier issues, performance actions, and follow-ups to support service continuity and compliance.


  • Maintain accurate procurement and supplier data within enterprise systems and tools.


  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to cost productivity, process efficiency, and supplier optimization.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Operations, or a related field


Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Typically 0-2 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, finance, analytics, or a related business role


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business reporting tools

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
