The Role

The Portfolio Services Group (PSG) in the Alternatives Investment Services team liaises between portfolio managers, trade operations teams, and internal partners.

The Alts Portfolio Services Group performs tasks and functions in support of investment professionals for the benefit of clients and fund shareholders. The group works with the Direct Leading and Real Estate Investment teams to deliver a consistent high level of service to the portfolio managers. Investment Services team member activities include, but are not limited to the following:

The Expertise and Skills you Bring
  • Monitor cash levels for all Alternative portfolios
  • Manage Deal Pipeline and ensure all requirements are met
  • Monitor asset allocation for group-sub structured portfolios
  • Create trade orders based on PM instructions and allocation rules
  • Serve as central point of contact for corporate actions (CA) activity; coordinating with assigned analyst and ensuring PMs' interest is communicated to CA's team
  • Liaise with technology, compliance, legal, operations, portfolio management, trading, and other internal Fidelity partners
  • Respond timely and accurately to ad-hoc inquiries from portfolio managers
  • The ideal candidate will have very strong analytical and communication skills and exhibit the highest level of personal and professional integrity.
  • BA / BS degree required, advanced degree a plus. Major or concentration in legal, finance, business administration, or accounting preferred but not required
  • Proficient in trading operations, terminology, and market mechanics
  • Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities in fast-paced environment

The Team

Fidelity's High Income and Alternatives Division is responsible for managing the firm's diversified high yield, leveraged loan and emerging market debt mutual funds, institutional accounts, and sub-portfolios. In addition, the group manages funds focused on the equities of leveraged companies. Assets under management total approximately $100 billion. The division is made up of a diverse team of Investment Professionals, Traders, and Operational and Administrative Support staff.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000-115,000 USD per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
