What you do:

The AML Compliance Advisor Principal (Ethics & Compliance Advisor Principal) serves as a senior operational and compliance resource within the organization, providing leadership, oversight, and subject matter expertise across multiple new business, inforce and claims operational functions. Possesses a comprehensive understanding of operational processes, risks, controls, and regulatory requirements across multiple lines of business, with the ability to identify opportunities for enhancement and drive continuous improvement. Responsible for ensuring compliance with AML policies and processes across Enterprise Operations.

Leads the oversight, monitoring, and governance of compliance and risk programs across operational processes, with a strong focus on control effectiveness, issue identification, remediation planning, and sustainable risk mitigation. May be tasked with special assignments/projects that are outside the scope of day-to-day responsibilities.

Demonstrates deep expertise in operations, risk management, and oversight and process governance. They possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence decision-making, balance competing priorities, and communicate effectively with Senior Leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. You will report to the VP, Customer and Producer Care, and have a dotted line to the Company Money Laundering & Sanctions Reporting Officer (MLRO).

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic oversight and coordination of programs across multiple operational functions and lines; lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority
  • Assess the effectiveness of operational controls and monitoring activities to ensure risks are appropriately managed. Perform root cause analysis of issues, and create and implement related action plans to address identified gaps
  • Communicate actions, progress and results with key stakeholders including the MLRO
  • Develop employees across operational functions to ensure their ability to effectively execute compliance and risk operational requirements
  • Provide input and support of process and control design, and standard operating procedure (SOP) development
  • Develop recommendations for process improvements to positively impact operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)


What you bring:
  • 8+ years' compliance related experience across multiple compliance disciplines and/or business lines required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas


Job posting range $100,000-125,500

Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
