The Americas Project Manager – DT Real Estate is responsible for leading the planning, design, approval, and implementation of Digital Technology deliverables across corporate real estate projects. Working closely with Global Real Estate teams and Local Facilities groups, this role ensures that all DT infrastructure components are delivered in alignment with Baker Hughes standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
This role plays a key part in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project governance, and ensuring seamless transition to operations following project completion. The Project Manager ensures that all aspects of infrastructure delivery—including passive and active components—are executed to support operational readiness and long-term sustainability.
As an Americas Project Manager – DT Real Estate, you will be responsible for:
Managing the full lifecycle of DT deliverables within Corporate Real Estate projects, including design, costing, approvals, and implementation.
Leading the project management of DT infrastructure components in alignment with overall Corporate Real Estate project timelines and objectives.
Coordinating and managing resources across multiple teams to ensure successful delivery of Baker Hughes standard infrastructure solutions.
Driving design and costing processes, ensuring accurate estimation and validation of project scope and requirements.
Ensuring all required approvals are obtained within Digital Technology and external stakeholder groups.
Creating, maintaining, and managing all project documentation and artifacts within the system of record (Clarity) for governance, tracking, and audit purposes.
Ensuring all Transition-to-Operations (TTO) activities are executed in accordance with Baker Hughes processes to support operational handover.
Monitoring and managing project budgets, ensuring adherence to approved financial plans.
Providing accurate and timely financial tracking and spend reporting to Real Estate stakeholders.
Managing risks, issues, and dependencies across project phases to ensure successful project delivery.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related discipline.
Hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Have a minimum of 60 months of experience leading and managing infrastructure projects within the last eight years.
Have strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including predictive (plan-based), Agile frameworks, and business analysis principles.
Have demonstrated expertise in managing complex infrastructure projects involving cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
Have in-depth knowledge of DT Real Estate infrastructure components, including:
Passive infrastructure: structured cabling, rack design, power conditioning, and AV fundamentals
Active infrastructure: networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and voice/video collaboration technologies
Have strong understanding of IT rooms/data center requirements, including layouts, electrical systems (raw and UPS), HVAC, grounding, fire suppression, and physical security.
Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Have excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Be highly organized and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
