May be Eligible for up to a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus This RN is responsible for assisting the H&P Providers and Anesthesia team in a liaison manner to help ensure preoperative optimization of patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, invasive, non-invasive, and other special procedures. Under general supervision of the Nursing Team Leader, Clinical Leader and/or the Department Director and under the general direction of the department physicians, perform as a member of the healthcare team to apply the nursing process when making nursing judgements and decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation/delivery, and evaluation of patient care, and documenting relevant data and care processes. Use effective interviewing and physical assessment skills to perform patient/family health status assessments by collecting and analyzing physical and psychosocial data, identifying needs, problems and patterns/trends, rendering an appropriate nursing diagnosis/intervention, and evaluating patient's response to plan of care. Exercise professional nursing judgment when performing a broad range of procedures and treatments appropriate to the level of care needed, and prioritizing patient acuity and workload demands. The RN will function with greater autonomy by consistently demonstrating independent clinical decision-making abilities. Perform phlebotomy and IV duties as needed. Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of New Hampshire with minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred. Current certification in BCLS required.
