Job Summary
We are seeking an Ambulatory Manager to provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Ambulatory application portfolio, including Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, MyChart, Wisdom, and related applications. This role is responsible for operational oversight, strategic planning, work prioritization, issue resolution, cross-functional coordination, and implementation support while partnering with leadership to ensure continuity of operations. This position does not include personnel or HR-related supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Epic Ambulatory application portfolio, including Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, MyChart, Wisdom, and related applications.
• Partner with the Ambulatory Supervisor and ACIO to prioritize operational and implementation initiatives.
• Support governance, strategic planning, and decision-making for the Epic Phase II implementation.
• Coordinate efforts across application teams, operational stakeholders, and project leadership.
• Assist with workload prioritization, issue escalation, and resource planning.
• Mentor analysts and project leads by providing technical and operational guidance.
• Support the development of operational processes, application ownership, and team coordination.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives while balancing operational support and implementation priorities.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, operational leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to drive successful outcomes.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting Epic clinical applications with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Extensive experience leading Epic Ambulatory application teams within a healthcare environment.
• Expertise in Epic Ambulatory and related applications, including Healthy Planet, MyChart, and Wisdom.
• Demonstrated experience balancing operational support with large-scale Epic implementation efforts.
• Experience leading implementation, optimization, and operational initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Epic Ambulatory workflows, application governance, and healthcare operations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, stakeholder management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to establish priorities, facilitate decision-making, and build strong working relationships across technical, clinical, and operational teams.
• Experience mentoring staff and fostering collaboration without direct personnel authority.
Preferred Qualifications
• Epic certification in Ambulatory and other related Epic applications.
