Position SummaryUnity Health Care is seeking an experienced
Ambulatory Clinical Analyst to support and optimize our Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. Reporting to the Information Systems Applications Manager, this role serves as the clinical and technical expert for assigned Epic applications, ensuring they effectively support clinical workflows, enhance patient care, and improve operational efficiency.
The Ambulatory Clinical Analyst will collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams to analyze workflows, configure and maintain Epic applications, support system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and lead projects that improve the delivery of patient care across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support and maintain Epic clinical applications, including EpicCare Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link, Behavioral Health, Wisdom, Rover, and other assigned modules.
- Analyze clinical workflows and recommend system improvements to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Configure, build, test, implement, and maintain Epic application solutions.
- Lead assigned Epic projects, including planning, documentation, timelines, and status reporting.
- Collaborate with clinical departments and IT teams to optimize workflows and system functionality.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for assigned Epic applications.
- Support system upgrades, testing, change management, and implementation of new features.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution for end users.
- Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, test scripts, and best practices.
- Communicate system updates, enhancements, and process improvements to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, change control, and ticket management processes.
- Partner with trainers to provide ongoing education and support for Epic users.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related clinical field.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or another clinical discipline may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree when combined with three (3) or more years of directly related experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems within a healthcare organization, preferably in an outpatient ambulatory setting.
- Experience with Epic or other ambulatory clinical applications.
- Current clinical license (RN, LPN, Medical Assistant, Laboratory or Radiology Technician, or similar) is preferred.
- Epic certification in the applicable module(s), or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, medical terminology, and clinical operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
