With over 100 Design-Build projects with a construction value of over $13.5B completed to date, Dewberry is looking to expand our Design-Build presence in the Southeast. We’re seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager (Alternative Delivery) for our Raleigh, NC office. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a top Transportation Design firm. As a Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to grow and strengthen our transportation practice in North Carolina and the southeast region.

 

The candidate will help lead alternative delivery pursuits and projects, working closely with other Dewberry offices and teaming partners.  For the right candidate, this position also offers a fast-tracked promotional opportunity to help build and lead a project design and delivery team for the Southeast.  

 

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of Transportation Alternative Delivery projects, including scope, budget, and schedule ensuring successful completion of projects.
  • Lead and managesupport staff and document production.
  • Develop and maintain client relations with local design-build contractors and design teaming partners.
  • Participate in business development activities including collaborating with our team in the marketing of new projects, proposal preparation, teaming arrangements and client relationship management.
  • Interface regularly with NCDOT and/or State/Municipal/County clients.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • BS degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience working on transportation infrastructure projects.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Design Manager delivering alternative delivery and design-build projects.
  • North Carolina PE license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of design-build teaming and professional services agreements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Effective client management skills.
