Job DescriptionAltaGas - Sr Advisor, Emergency Management In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, partnering with operations, regulators, emergency response agencies, Indigenous communities, and senior leaders to ensure our people, assets, and communities are prepared to respond when it matters most. What You'll Do- Lead the day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of AltaGas' Emergency Management Program for Western Canadian Midstream operations
- Maintain and enhance emergency response plans, regulatory emergency management documentation, and preparedness programs to ensure compliance and operational readiness
- Serve as a subject matter expert on emergency management regulations, industry standards, and best practices
- Partner closely with operational leaders, regulators, emergency response agencies, Indigenous communities, and internal stakeholders to strengthen preparedness and response capabilities
- Develop and facilitate emergency management exercises, simulations, tabletop exercises, and training programs
- Support Incident Management Teams, Emergency Management Support Teams, and Crisis Management Teams during exercises and emergency activations
- Lead after-action reviews and oversee corrective action planning to drive continuous improvement
- Administer and continuously improve emergency notification and accountability systems, including Everbridge
- Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and industry trends to proactively enhance emergency management practices
- Support emergency response activities, incident management efforts, and organizational resilience initiatives across the business
What You'll Bring - 5-10 years of progressive emergency management experience, preferably supporting midstream operations
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining emergency management programs within regulated environments
- Experience developing and maintaining Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and emergency preparedness programs
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as BCER, AER, CER, Transport Canada, and ECCC
- Experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating emergency exercises and training programs
- Proven ability to support incident response organizations, Emergency Operations Centres (EOCs), and Incident Management Teams (IMTs)
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
