Summary:

As part of the UPHS Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Alliance Project Administrator manages and coordinates system-wide quality, patient safety, and operational improvement initiatives by combining project management, and alliance-building across clinical and administrative teams. Under the direction of the Senior Corporate Director, this is a system-level position aligning projects with institutional priorities, including the Blueprint for Quality and Patient Safety-leading complex implementations, facilitating evidence-based practice and quality improvement integration, and fostering collaboration across Penn Medicine to deliver measurable improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a system-level project administrator for Alliance initiatives
  • co-lead committees and participate in system-level CEQI meetings.
  • Align projects with organizational priorities and advocate for resources to remove barriers.
  • Independently manage and coordinate multiple concurrent projects using industry-standard PM practices
  • define governance, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Develop project plans, set timelines, communicate status
  • schedule/facilitate meetings
  • prepare agendas/minutes
  • maintain SharePoint and project artifacts
  • deliver presentations.
  • Proactively identify and escalate delays/roadblocks
  • provide periodic, well-organized written status reports to leadership including executive leadership as required.
  • Lead QI/PI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and EBP to optimize clinical and operational performance
  • design, implement, and evaluate standards of practice.
  • Conduct data surveillance and root-cause analysis to identify opportunities
  • facilitate sharing of best practices across departments and entities.
  • Coordinate change management activities in collaboration with the Penn Medicine Academy.
  • Partner with Penn DnA, Clinical Decision Support, EPIC IS, Informatics, and CEP to ensure accurate data acquisition, integrity, and visualization
  • benchmark to CMS/Vizient/AHRQ.
  • Ensure performance data is disseminated and actively reviewed for opportunities to change practice.
  • Support the Blueprint for Quality operational framework.
Credentials:
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Preferred)
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), IHI Improvement Coordinator, or equivalent (Within 6 months of hire) (Preferred)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
  • And 5+ years Healthcare experience (Required)
  • Master of Arts or Science in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related fields (Preferred)
  • 3+ years Project management experience (Preferred)
