Job Title: All-Source Analyst

Location: Washington, DC

Program Overview:

All-Source Analysts support U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Office of Intelligence (OI) with mission-critical analysis on transnational threats impacting border security and trade/travel. Analysts fuse multi-source information, produce actionable intelligence, brief stakeholders, and collaborate across DHS and interagency partners to inform operations and strategic decision-making.

Job Duties:

All Source Analysts will:
  • Research, analyze, and fuse multi-source intelligence on:
    • Human smuggling and illegal migration
    • Illicit finance and narcotics trafficking
    • Transnational organized crime, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism
  • Prepare timely, high-quality written products (assessments, briefs, reports) tailored to senior decision-makers and frontline operators
  • Establish and maintain systematic, cross-referenced intelligence records and files; receive, process, and integrate incoming reports/messages with current holdings.
  • Evaluate credibility, significance, and gaps in reporting; identify threat actor trends, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and likely courses of action.
  • Draft intelligence and information reports for review and release via appropriate CBP systems (to include classified networks as required).
  • Conduct analyst-to-analyst exchanges across OI, CBP components, and interagency partners to refine requirements and enhance information sharing.
  • Support measures of performance/effectiveness and provide feedback to improve collection and analytic outcomes.
  • Adhere to DHS/CBP standards, policies, and tradecraft; protect sensitive information and data in accordance with agency guidance.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret (or DHS equivalent) and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI if mission requires.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Affairs, National Security, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Data/Analytics, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 2+ years of relevant all-source analysis experience supporting law enforcement, DHS, DoD, or IC missions (internships and graduate research may count with strong writing samples).
  • Demonstrated analytic tradecraft: research design, source evaluation, structured analytic techniques, and clear, concise writing.
  • Experience producing finished intelligence products and briefing stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); comfort learning CBP systems and standard intel tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize in fast-paced operational environments, and collaborate in cross-functional teams.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Direct experience on one or more target problem sets: Southwest/Northern border dynamics, human smuggling networks, TCOs, fentanyl/precursor supply chains, illicit finance typologies, or travel/trade targeting.
  • Knowledge of DHS/CBP missions, OI organization, and IC/DHS intelligence production standards.
  • Familiarity with data exploitation and visualization tools (e.g., Palantir, i2 Analyst's Notebook, Analyst Notebook-like graph tools, basic SQL or Python helpful but not required).
  • Experience collaborating with collection managers and data scientists to refine priority intelligence requirements, close gaps, and improve analytic rigor.
