Responsibilities

I2X Technologies is seeking a Algorithm Software Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Huntsville, AL. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret

• Help generate software design artifacts
• Implement Java-based software changes
• Support design and code reviews
• Support software testing and resolution of issues arising from software testing
• Be involved in the presentation of developed designs
• Actively participate in agile planning and execution using established program processes

Qualifications

• Generally has 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline
• Active Secret clearance
• Full Life-Cycle Development
• Java application development / alternate OO development experience (additional experience with MATLAB is a plus)
• Unix/Linux
• Software implementation of mathematical algorithms
• Agile development
• DEVSECOPS
• Systems Integration
• Basic experience in design and devleopment of complex mathematical algorithms
• Experience with problem-solving skills, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root cause and recommend a solution
• The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently, and be able to work in a highly dynamic environment
• Candidate will need to be able to work with multiple disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment and Warfighter Support to help ensure mission success

Preferred knowledge:

• Knowledge of developing software within an agile development process, decomposition of work, and active leadership during sprint planning
• Experience developing software and/or algorithms in a structured, process-based integrated team environment
• Knowledge of developing software within a DEVSECOPS framework for Java-based applications in a Unix/Linux platform environment
• Experience with development of automated unit tests and verification of requirements
• Candidate may also be involved in the implementation of MATLAB or Python based algorithms prior to their adoption into tactical Java-based software
• Security+ certification is not required but a plus for this position
