Your Team:Join Flair's Engineering team, where technical expertise supports the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of the fleet. The Airframe Systems Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for aircraft airframe systems, including troubleshooting technical issues, supporting maintenance requirements, and developing recommendations to improve aircraft reliability and reduce downtime.
Working closely with Maintenance, Technical Services, OEMs, and external vendors, the Airframe Systems Engineer supports the resolution of technical issues, reliability improvements, and aircraft return-to-service activities. The role ensures airframe systems are maintained in accordance with regulatory, manufacturer, and company requirements.
This is an on-site position based at our Calgary, AB (YYC) office.
A Day In The Life:- Evaluate and implement Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins, and technical publications to ensure applicable airworthiness and regulatory requirements are met.
- Provide real-time engineering support for AOG events, aircraft defects, troubleshooting, and maintenance-related technical issues.
- Develop Engineering Orders and maintenance procedures to support aircraft repairs, modifications, and maintenance requirements.
- Analyze fleet performance and recurring defects to identify reliability trends and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
- Lead aircraft retrofit campaigns and modifications, working closely with Maintenance and other supporting teams.
- Work with OEMs, vendors, and internal departments to resolve airframe system issues and support aircraft reliability.
- Maintain technical records and engineering information in AMOS and support technical analysis and reporting.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering - Aerospace.
- Hold a valid Transport Canada AME M license.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in aircraft maintenance engineering, technical services, or related roles.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years' experience on the Boeing 737 NG and/or MAX required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Air Regulations (CARs).
- Knowledgeable in computer-based maintenance software, AMOS is considered an asset.
- Intermediate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and data entry.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-stress, deadline-driven, ever-changing work environment while prioritizing tasks and assignments.
- Demonstrated analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage projects to successful completion on tight timeframes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
- Must have airline experience.
- Must meet one of the education qualifications listed above.
