To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate's skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
DescriptionBabcock is currently recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to be based in on our Prince Rupert British Columbia facility. All AMEs will be responsible to Crew Chief for the completion of the maintenance and repair tasks assigned to them. All while ensuring compliance with Babcock Canada's Policies and Procedures and the Canadian Aviation regulations.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair AW169 aircraft.
- Create and complete task cards and work packs in CAMP.
- Work with specialized aviation and power tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Keep timely and accurate records of the repair and maintenance activities that were conducted.
- Use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for tasks/jobs.
- Maintain a clean and productive work area.
- Conduct aircraft cleaning duties of interior and exterior (excluding medical biohazards).
- Work efficiently alone and as part of a team.
- Read, understand, and adhere to the Safety & Health Policy Statement, Company Occupational Health & Safety Manual, Company Policies and Procedures, and the MPM.
- Utilize the Company reporting system to report any hazard, incident, or accident.
- Enter labour in the labour tracking system accurately for all tasks performed.
- Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
- A valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 AME license.
- Experience working on a rotary-wing asset, ideally on Leonardo Helicopters AW-Family aircraft, in particular, the AW169.
- Demonstrated experience working on CAMP or other similar maintenance programs.
- Good organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
- The physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods.
- The physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods.
- The physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces.
- The ability and willingness to undertake shift work.
- Comfortability working at height.
- Eligibility for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- The right to work in Canada and/or have or can obtain a Canadian passport.
- A valid driver's license.
