Full Job Description
Job Purpose

Member of the engine production and MRO team with Engineering leadership of planning, technical direction and supplier support associated with new product and product returning from the customer for repair and overhaul. Also, provide technical direction for aircraft engine assembly, testing and repair of engine parts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execution of design changes, SB, Instruction changes and any other updates to the current procedures.
  • Lead future business planning and execution - MRO, parts repair, and In-house manufacturing expansion.
  • Develop and implement new production and MRO procedure changes.
  • Collaborate with design & manufacturing teams to improve product reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop engine build work scope and parts repair procedures for the MRO overhaul and mass production reworks.
  • Development and maintenance of engine kitting by supporting layout of engine hardware parts and storage utilizing shadowing for parts control. Working with suppliers and purchasing.
  • Support Team Leader with daily oversight and training of associates.
  • Provide manufacturing expertise in support of HAI part suppliers, design engineering, quality, purchasing, and source selection to assure the delivery of quality gas turbine engine components.
  • Provide technical expertise that assists in meeting HAI cost, delivery goals and business plan initiatives for the assembly of the engine.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor'S Degree in An Engineering Discipline, Mechanical or Aerospace Preferred

Minimum Experience
  • 3 years in aircraft engine production or repair environment

Other Job-Specific Skills
  • Experience with Turbine Engine Maintenance, inspections, and FAA regulations
  • Experience with lean manufacturing initiatives such as TQM, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
  • Strong understanding management of calibration and test equipment to traceable standards.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to develop alternative approaches to solve complex problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work within an international environment.
  • Strong project management skills to assist with development and expansion projects.
  • High level of proficiency with using computer based software, manufacturing execution and warehouse management systems.

  • Experience with supporting continuous improvement at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong communication with other Engineering groups to understand technical direction and execution.
  • Ability to lead and execute technical direction of manufacuting/repair tasks


Working Conditions

  • Travel: less than 10% potential travel expected
  • Physical: Manufacturing/test environment including some outdoor activities. Infrequent kneeling, standing, reaching, squatting, bending, pushing and lifting. Some physical effort required (pushing 300+ pounds on wheeled cart; lifting 25-50 pounds.
  • Hazards: Risks found in typical aviation shop setting. Exposure to explosives/flammables, pressurized equipment, chemicals, moving parts, hot parts.
  • Overtime: Overtime expected based on project demands/responsibilities.
  • Maintains professional conduct and follows all departmental, safety department, and Company policies, Procedures, AND rules.
