Full Job Description
In support of the Senior Director of EHS Compliance, the Air Quality Compliance Leader is responsible for the Air Quality Program at Depot Connect International (DCI). The Air Quality Compliance Leader works closely with DCI personnel, government regulators, business partners, industry stakeholders and consultants. Further, the Air Quality Compliance Leader acts as the primary corporate liaison with local, State, and federal regulatory agencies on all company air quality issues. This role promotes corporate-wide awareness of the air quality Program and its requirements through training, outreach, and attendance at industry meetings. The Air Quality Compliance Leader also assesses the effectiveness of facility environmental compliance efforts by performing periodic air quality audits at DCI facilities. Through effective management and guidance, this role maximizes corporate compliance, thereby reducing potential liability for DCI.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000, plus annual bonus potential

Travel: 20% +

Location: Houston, TX, Tampa, FL, or Remote

Position Responsibilities:
  • Working knowledge of federal, State, and local air regulations regarding, but not limited to, the Clean Air Act (CAA), National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), Title V Permitting, etc.
  • Complete air quality permits for Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), New Source Review (NSR) compliance, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions, Authority to Construct (ATC), etc.
  • Conduct environmental analyses, assess regulatory compliance, perform regulatory applicability evaluations, and draft recommended approach or corrective actions to ensure compliance with local, State, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare emission and toxic release inventory reports; quantify air pollutant emissions and impacts.
  • Interact with local, State, and federal regulators to facilitate permit application review and issuance.
  • Evaluate air pollution control technologies, including technical and economic feasibility of air pollution control equipment.
  • Oversee air pollution control device selection and evaluation, source emission monitoring, and emission measurements.
  • Greenhouse gas inventory calculations and reporting, monitoring plans, emission reductions, and verification, if applicable.
  • Participate as needed, in site assessments and monitoring programs.
  • Perform multiple tasks within scope, budget, and schedule, and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Collaborate, interact, and maintain successful relationships with DCI personnel, government regulators, business partners, industry stakeholders and consultants.
  • Brief the Senior Director of EHS Compliance regularly on the state of the AQ Program.

Qualifications:
  • BS in chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering, atmospheric science, or related degree. Master's Degree a plus.
  • Professional designation highly desirable: Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Air Permitting Professional (CAPP), etc.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the environmental field working with Air Districts and other similar agencies and their programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of air emissions reporting processes.
  • Title V; PSD, NSR, Best Available Control Technology (BACT), Best Available Retrofit Control Technology (BARCT) and/or Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) experience.
  • Experience with permitting for Title V, Annual Emissions Reporting, Air Dispersion Modeling, and Air Quality Assessments (Data Analysis and Emission Inventories).
  • Strong pollution controls and equipment systems knowledge/experience is a plus.
  • Capacity to succeed in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple project assignments, and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex requests.
  • Knowledge of federal, State, and local environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Must collaborate well, both internally and externally, including regulatory agencies.
  • Contribute to strategic planning processes to facilitate corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Must be able to travel 20%+ as business needs dictate.
