Full Job Description
Job Title: Air Import Supervisor
Job Location: Miami, Florida

We have an exciting opportunity for an Air Import Supervisor who will be responsible for managing all air import processes.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Manages, oversees, and performs supervisory tasks associated with all air import.
  • Responsible for working with internal departments (Air Import Gateway, Warehouse and Trucking) as well as external partners (Airlines, FDA and Customs).
  • Assumes responsibility for good working practices, safety, and security for customer shipments and staff
  • Monitors, records, analyzes, and reports on all air import activities and provides results and recommendations relating to these services
  • Supervises unionized staff; responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff. Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
  • Responsible for reviewing and evaluating existing quality control procedures to include compliance with applicable local regulations / authorities; responsible for approving or rejecting all procedures or specifications impacting operational processes; performs necessary investigations when there is any temperature / humidity deviations inside facility
Skills / Requirements :
  • BA/BS preferred or minimum of 3 years supervisory experience within the logistics / transportation industry
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of air import operations
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to include driving KPIs, employee engagement / team building. Strong ability to develop, coach, train, and mentor staff to success
  • Previous supervisory experience in a Unionized environment is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Cargo Wise system is preferred
Pay Range: $79,777.50 - $106,370.00+ (Based on Experience)
