Overviewi3 is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations Team Product Owner (PO) who will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Prioritization and validation of the development software for the Engagement Operations team.
- Reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
- Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
- Provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Qualifications
- Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Have a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
- Have a minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
- Must have a basic understanding of Engagement Operations (EO) concepts to include engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction and sensor resource management.
- Must have the ability provide oversight to EO SW development team and verify the teams work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria.
- Must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
- Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
Other Qualifications:
- An ddditional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiar with current EO implementations in one or more of the DoD services.
- Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
