Responsibilities
  • Lead customer engagements to identify business needs and align Microsoft solutions.
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive adoption and consumption of Microsoft technologies.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists, customer success managers, and partners to deliver value.
  • Demonstrate real examples of Copilot for government departments
  • Stay current on industry trends and Microsoft product innovations.
  • Provide feedback to product teams to influence roadmap and improve customer experience.

Capabilities and Skills
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand customer needs and align solutions to business outcomes.
  • Federal Government relationships: A deep understand of the Canadian federal government with existing relationships across departments
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies and industry-specific solutions with a focus on Microsoft Copilot
  • Communication: presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Sales Acumen: Experience in solution selling and driving revenue growth.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, Information Security, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years solution or services sales experience.
  • Experience working with or selling to Public Sector and or Law enforcement.
  • Understanding of Federal Government departmental landscape with existing relationships.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving customer success.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud solutions and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and partners.


Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $103,500 - CAD $170,700 per year.
