Digital Solution Area Specialist - AI Workforce, Public Sector (Western Canada)

About the role

As a Digital Solution Area Specialist, you will lead the charge in transforming how Public Sector organizations across Western Canada adopt and scale AI-powered technology. You will drive the AI Workforce solution portfolio - Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and Agents, Microsoft 365 E7/E5/E3, Windows 365, and Azure Virtual Desktop - partnering with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to build strategies that accelerate AI adoption and deliver measurable business transformation.

You will lead consultative customer conversations and drive the planning, orchestration, and execution of end-to-end AI Workforce opportunities with internal stakeholders and partners to cross-sell, up-sell, and co-sell. This role will accelerate your career growth - sharpening your solution-selling and collaboration skills and deepening your end-to-end AI Workforce expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Lead consultative sales conversations with business decision makers, helping customers understand how Microsoft AI solutions, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and AI agents-can transform the way they work.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by aligning AI solutions to customer business priorities, developing compelling business value and ROI cases, and guiding customers through their AI transformation journey.
  • Drive adoption and growth of Microsoft AI solutions by identifying opportunities to deliver measurable customer value and business outcomes.
  • Partner with technical specialists, engineering teams, customer success, and partner organizations to develop and execute end-to-end customer engagement and sales strategies.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities through customer engagement, marketing programs, digital insights, and partner collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, pipelines, and customer engagement activities to support business goals and sales execution.
  • Collaborate across Microsoft solution areas-including Security, Business Process, and Azure-to deliver integrated customer solutions.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate customer success and achieve shared business objectives.
  • Demonstrate Microsoft's values by operating with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to ethical business practices while proactively identifying and managing risks.
  • Continuously develop expertise in AI, emerging technologies, and consultative selling to deliver exceptional customer experiences.


Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience, OR 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.


Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field AND 8+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • Experience selling or supporting modern work, productivity, collaboration, or AI solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365, Copilot, virtual desktop, or comparable platforms).
  • Experience working with Public Sector customers and navigating their procurement, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Relevant Microsoft or industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure fundamentals/administration, security, or solution-architecture credentials).


Digital Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $106,100 - CAD $169,300 per year.
