We are currently seeking a AI Specialist to join our Technology Services, based in our Bethpage, NY office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Strategy & Governance
  • Develop and execute a cohesive AI strategy for the Enterprise Systems team that aligns with broader business objectives and evolving governance standards, ensuring AI initiatives deliver tangible business value while complying with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a member of our AI Governance/Review Board, contributing thought leadership in the evaluation and approval of new AI use cases and vendor solutions to ensure they meet our security, compliance, and ethical standards
  • Evaluate and review proposed AI use cases and ideas submitted by business units or innovation teams, offering expert guidance to shape these ideas into viable projects.
  • Conduct in-depth technical reviews and proof-of-concepts for new AI solutions to assess their feasibility, performance, and scalability in our context.
  • Assess risks and establish mitigation plans for each AI use case, including analyzing potential model biases, data privacy implications, security vulnerabilities, and compliance with data governance standards.
  • Leverage tools like Microsoft Purview & Agent 365 for data governance to ensure that AI systems handle sensitive data in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with our Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Data Privacy teams to implement Responsible AI practices, including human oversight mechanisms, auditing of AI decisions, and adherence to our Generative AI


AI Solution Development
  • Design, prototype, and implement AI solutions and "agentic" workflows that automate and enhance enterprise business processes. Leverage generative AI platforms and tools, including AWS Bedrock and Azure AI Foundry.
  • Integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot and other AI assistants into our workflows to improve employee productivity and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain AI agents or autonomous workflows that can carry out tasks across systems with minimal human intervention, improving operational efficiency and freeing up teams for higher-value work.
  • Work closely with enterprise architects and IT engineering teams to deploy AI solutions into our existing infrastructure and tools (e.g. integrating AI capabilities with Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, data platforms, etc.), ensuring scalability, security, and performance in production environments


QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • AI/ML Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science roles, including developing and deploying ML models or AI solutions in an enterprise environment
  • Technical Skills: Expertise with generative AI platforms and cloud AI services, especially Amazon AWS Bedrock and Microsoft Azure AI (Foundry), as well as experience using large language model (LLM) technologies and related frameworks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot and integrating AI assistants or chatbots into business processes
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Purview or similar data governance/ compliance tools, with the ability to enforce data protection and AI governance policies in solutions
  • Strong programming and ML skills and familiarity with tools for model deployment and monitoring
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk-aware mindset capable of assessing technical and ethical risks in AI systems and implementing controls to mitigate them
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into business-friendly language
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to drive projects forward
  • Proven ability to function as a subject matter expert or advisor, providing guidance and training to team members and decision-makers on AI best practices and responsible use of AI technologies
  • Familiarity with Adobe Firefly, Runway, or other diffusion models for creating or editing images and video


The base compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience.
