Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Lead, AI Product Owner is responsible for managing day-to-day product ownership, curation, and operational governance of enterprise AI tools, products and services.

As a member of the Technology Innovation Office, you will translate business need and AI strategy into governed, usable, measurable, product-based outcomes. The AI Product Owner ensures AI tools are appropriately evaluated, onboarded, supported, and monitored while driving adoption and value realization.

This role requires strong product management discipline, operational rigor, stakeholder coordination, strategic thought, and the ability to operate independently in a complex, relationship-driven organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Product Ownership and Roadmap Execution

  • Serve as product owner for enterprise AI products, managing backlog, prioritization, and release cadence.
  • Evolve, manage and maintain a curated catalog of approved AI tools and capabilities.
  • Develop and execute intake processes for new AI tools and vendor offerings.
  • Partner with AI, Automation, Infrastructure, Security, and Governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Operations and Governance Support

  • Coordinate onboarding of AI tools, including licensing models, access controls, and role-based provisioning.
  • Partner with stakeholders and platform owners to ensure seamless delivery and support.
  • Ensure appropriate telemetry, reporting, and monitoring mechanisms are in place.
  • Support compliance with AI governance, privacy, and security policies.
  • Maintain documentation and lifecycle management processes for AI products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business units to understand needs and translate them into product enhancements.
  • Align tool launches with training and communications plans.
  • Coordinate with IT operations to ensure reliability, scalability, and support readiness.

Adoption and Value Tracking

  • Define and monitor KPIs such as adoption rates, utilization, user satisfaction, and productivity gains.
  • Produce regular reporting for leadership on Store performance and value realization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience and increase responsible AI adoption.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business, technology, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in technology product management, digital platforms, enterprise software delivery, or innovation operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a product backlog and coordinating cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, licensing models, and enterprise access management.
  • Experience operating in regulated environments (insurance, financial services, healthcare, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills, executive communication capability, and ability to operate with limited supervision.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience managing enterprise marketplaces or internal technology platforms.
    • Familiarity with corporate AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
    • Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI practices, or risk management processes.
    • Experience implementing role-based access and service account models.
    • Background in platform analytics and usage reporting.

Base Salary Range:

$125,100.00 - $187,700.00
