The RoleYou'll work alongside our Product team to build the internal tools and AI systems that eliminate manual work across Niural. The Product Manager identifies and prioritizes what needs automating. Your job is to turn those problems into working systems, fast.
This is a hands-on, in-office role at our NYC headquarters. You'll code, architect AI workflows, and ship internal tools using AI-native development tools like Claude Code, at a pace that would normally require a much larger team. We're looking for someone with a strong engineering mindset who's comfortable writing production-quality code, wiring up multi-step AI pipelines, and deploying tools that real teams rely on every day.
What You'll DoBuild Internal Tools- Develop and deploy full-stack internal applications (web apps, dashboards, admin panels) for Operations, Data Research, Accounting, Sales, and Marketing
- Build with React, Next.js, Python/FastAPI, or similar, so tools are fast, reliable, and easy for non-technical teammates to use
- Own the full lifecycle: build, deploy, monitor, iterate
Engineer AI Workflows & Agents- Design multi-step AI workflows using LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI), agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, n8n AI agents), and RAG pipelines
- Build AI systems for data extraction, document processing, classification, compliance research, and payroll validation
- Implement prompt engineering, output validation, and error handling so AI systems perform reliably at scale
Integrate Systems & Automate Pipelines- Connect internal systems (HRIS, payroll engines, CRMs, databases, Slack, email, spreadsheets) to eliminate manual data transfer
- Build data pipelines that automate reporting, reconciliation, and exception handling for Accounting and Operations
- Automate contractor onboarding, invoice processing, payment workflows, and compliance data collection across multiple countries
Ship with AI-Native Development- Use Claude Code and other AI-assisted coding tools daily to move fast
- Prototype rapidly, validate with real users, and iterate
- Keep codebases clean and documented so tools can be extended over time
Support Sales & Marketing Systems- Build lead enrichment, CRM hygiene, and outbound personalization workflows
- Build content generation and repurposing pipelines for Marketing
- Give Sales faster access to prospect and market data
What We're Looking ForMust-Have- 2+ years of software engineering experience, strong in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Hands-on experience building and deploying web applications (React, Next.js, Node.js, FastAPI, or equivalent)
- Deep experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI), including prompt engineering, function calling, and structured outputs
- Experience building multi-step AI workflows or agent-based systems
- Working knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector), and document processing pipelines
- Comfort with SQL/PostgreSQL and API integrations (REST, webhooks)
- Experience deploying and maintaining production applications (Docker, AWS/GCP/Vercel)
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
- A strong bias toward shipping. You'd rather have a working prototype today than a perfect plan next week
Nice-to-Have- Familiarity with automation platforms (n8n, Make, Retool) for rapid prototyping
- Background in payroll, HR tech, EOR/AOR, fintech, or compliance operations
- Experience with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI)
- Understanding of global payroll compliance, tax regulations, or labor laws
Why Join Niural- Build systems that directly impact how a global fintech platform operates and scales
- Work across the full stack of modern AI tooling, from LLM APIs to agent frameworks to full-stack apps
- Ship constantly and see your work used by real people every day
- Medical, Vision, and Dental benefits
- Share in the upside of building foundational internet infrastructure, at Niural's NYC headquarters
