Full Job Description
Position Overview

This role can be based remotely in the United States.

The AI Product Manager owns the definition and delivery of each AI solution from intake through production, serving as the bridge between business problem statements and the engineered solutions that the Accelerators team prototypes and hands off. This is a highly technical, client-facing role accountable for both the what - shaping what gets built, why it matters, and whether the outcome delivers real business value - and the when - running sprint cadence, stakeholder communication, and delivery gates.

Each AI Product Manager carries two to three concurrent engagements per month, partnering directly with business owners, Navigators, Solutions Engineers, and the AI Platforms team to move validated opportunities from discovery through rapid prototyping to production handoff. Success requires combining product discipline with AI fluency and the interpersonal skills to maintain stakeholder trust while managing scope, velocity, and quality across multiple parallel workstreams.

Essential Job Functions
  • Own the product vision for each engagement: define what the AI solution must do and why, ensuring alignment with business owner objectives, Navigator discovery insights, and Accelerators team capabilities.
  • Author and own the Project Brief - the authoritative statement of scope, objectives, success criteria, and constraints - including Business Requirements Documents, Product Requirements Documents, and supporting user stories.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog for each sprint, deciding what gets built first based on business value and prioritization pipelines defined in partnership with Navigators and client stakeholders.
  • Define acceptance criteria from the business perspective: not just "does it work technically" but "does it solve the problem," including clearly stated business value KPIs that link prototype outcomes to measurable impact.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing contact and coordinator during delivery, running weekly status calls, scope discussions, outcome reviews, demos, and progress updates that maintain stakeholder confidence and alignment.
  • Run sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives; coordinate handoffs between Solutions Engineers, Integration, Data/ML, and the Platforms team when projects are delivered to production.
  • Identify, log, and escalate scope changes, risks, and blockers; own the go/no-go recommendation at each gate in coordination with the Director, AI Delivery.
  • Produce the Handoff Package: full delivery documentation including product specification, integration map, operational guide, and any artifacts required for the Platforms team to assume ongoing ownership.
  • Partner with the Director, AI Delivery to ensure delivery standards, sprint velocity, and quality expectations are met across all concurrent engagements.
  • Champion responsible AI principles throughout delivery, ensuring ethical considerations, bias mitigation, data privacy compliance, and governance requirements are embedded in every product specification.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Leadership.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PM/PO, PMP) highly desirable.
  • 5+ years in product management, technical program management, or AI/software delivery with demonstrated ownership of product backlogs and delivery outcomes.
  • Experience writing clear acceptance criteria, user stories, and product requirements for technical engineering teams building AI/ML or software solutions.
  • Strong business acumen: proven ability to translate business problems into well-scoped AI product requirements that connect technology outputs to measurable business value.
  • Comfort with AI/ML concepts: not expected to code but must evaluate prototype quality against product requirements and engage credibly with Solutions Engineers on technical trade-offs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication: equally effective presenting to executives, collaborating with engineers, and managing client stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies; familiarity with sprint-based AI/ML project structures and rapid prototyping cycles preferred.
  • Experience with project management and documentation tools such as Jira, Monday.com, ClickUp, Confluence, or SharePoint.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite; understanding of how Microsoft Azure's infrastructure works is a plus.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities with a track record of building trusted relationships in complex matrix organizations.
  • Track record of operating successfully in fast-paced environments where multiple priorities compete for attention and organizational structures evolve continuously.
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries, partner with peer directors, and maintain alignment without creating bottlenecks.
  • Travel required is expected to be 10-20% for stakeholder engagement, delivery reviews, and cross-team coordination.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 20% but may increase over time as the business evolves
