Full Job Description
We are seeking an AI/ML Automation Engineer who is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise AI and automation capabilities that accelerate innovation across CCI Systems. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, Engineering, IT, the Enterprise Innovation Analyst, and external technology partners to transform operational workflows into scalable AI-enabled solutions. The position bridges strategy and execution by building intelligent automation, supporting Copilot adoption, evaluating emerging technologies, and enabling measurable business outcomes aligned with the Enterprise Innovation Strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Translate business workflows into AI-enabled automation solutions and technical architectures.
  • Design, develop, and deploy prototypes using AI, machine learning, APIs, and workflow automation platforms.
  • Support AI-enabled infrastructure design, quality assurance, GIS optimization, field intelligence, and enterprise analytics initiatives.
  • Evaluate AI platforms, agentic AI capabilities, Copilot technologies, and automation vendors.
  • Develop reusable automation frameworks and technical standards for enterprise deployment.
  • Partner cross-functionally to understand business requirements, inputs, outputs, data flows, and integration opportunities.
  • Support AI governance, security, responsible AI practices, and enterprise adoption.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps, architecture documentation, executive demonstrations, and innovation showcases.
  • Research emerging technologies across telecommunications, digital infrastructure, energy convergence, and data centers.
  • Support KPI measurement, solution performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company information.
  • Individuals in this role receive privileged access and are assigned specialized training at least once a year.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience developing AI, ML, automation, or enterprise software solutions.
  • Experience with Python, REST APIs, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Git, and cloud-native development is required.
  • Experience in telecommunications, engineering services, utilities, digital infrastructure, GIS, CAD, or field operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, workflow automation, and system integration required.
  • Experience with computer vision, intelligent document processing, agentic AI, or digital twins is preferred.
  • Exposure to DevOps, MLOps, CI/CD, Azure AI Services, and enterprise architecture preferred.
  • Experience supporting executive demonstrations and proof-of-concept initiatives preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking abilities.


Shift is Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST. Must have ability to work outside normal business hours as required.

Additional Information
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Travel approximately 20-30% based on business needs, conferences, customer engagements, and collaboration sessions.
