Job DescriptionTimmons Group is currently seeking a qualified
AI Implementation Specialist to join our team in
Richmond, VA. The AI Implementation Specialist will support the day-to-day implementation, administration, and optimization of artificial intelligence tools and solutions across the firm. Remote employees will be considered.
Essential duties and responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Develop practical AI-enabled workflows, prompts, assistants, automation, and repeatable solutions that help technical teams improve productivity.
- Partner with business units and technical staff to understand pain points and translate them into usable AI solutions.
- Support the implementation of AI initiatives identified through the firm's innovation and AI committee.
- Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise AI tools and platforms, including Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI or automation tools.
- Assist with testing, piloting, documenting, and deploying AI tools and workflows across teams.
- Create user guides, training materials, prompt libraries, workflow documentation, and best-practice resources.
- Monitor usage, adoption, performance, and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with IT to ensure tools are configured and used in accordance with data security, privacy, and responsible AI requirements.
- Research emerging AI tools and practical applications, with a focus on solutions that can improve project delivery and employee productivity.
Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, data science, engineering, GIS, business systems, or a related field.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in IT systems administration, business systems, data platforms, automation, AI tools, or technical support preferred.
- Experience in Civil Engineering design and/or GIS a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, automation tools, or other enterprise AI tools preferred.
- Ability to develop prompts, workflows, automations, AI assistants, or practical technology solutions for business users.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and user support skills.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical users to understand needs and create practical solutions.
Compensation: Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $85,000-$125,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity. Information on our comprehensive benefits package be found here.
