Full Job Description
Job Description:

Business Relationship & Discovery

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business teams throughout the entire engagement - from the first conversation through post-launch review.

  • Conduct structured discovery to understand the business problem, use case, data involved, and desired outcome before any product or vendor is evaluated.

  • Help ensure the right solution is identified - clarifying what is actually needed before any product or vendor evaluation begins.

  • Identify whether an existing approved tool already addresses the need, eliminating redundant spend and accelerating time to solution.

  • Validate that the proposed solution is fit for purpose before directing the Analyst to begin any submission work.

  • Advise requestors on whether a solution falls within existing approvals, requires a new submission, or has a preferred alternative already in place.

  • Receive the Engineer's post-implementation check-in and formally close the loop with the business team - confirming the solution is live, performing as expected, and that the engagement is complete.

Team Direction & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Direct the work of the AI Governance Analyst and AI Governance Engineer - assigning requests, identifying priorities, and ensuring the team is focused on the right work at the right time.

  • Own the team's operating rhythm - running sprint planning, stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies to keep work organized, visible, and moving across all active engagements.

  • Own the AI Concierge Program Tracker as the master record of the service - ensuring it reflects accurate, up-to-date status across all engagements at all times, with the Analyst and Engineer responsible for updating their respective phases.

  • Identify and communicate the priority and urgency of each request to the Governance Engineer to inform the review schedule.

  • Receive status and schedule updates from the Governance Engineer on a regular cadence; translate that information into clear, timely communication to the business team.

  • Review the Analyst's research and documentation packages for completeness and accuracy before they are routed to the Engineer for submission.

  • Maintain active partnerships with Legal, Information Security, Data Privacy, Emerging Technology, Procurement, and Global Enterprise Technology - engaging each group not only to move individual requests forward but to drive continuous improvement of the service, identify systemic gaps, and align on evolving policy, process, and ways of working.

Blocker Resolution & Escalation

  • When blockers arise in the research, review, or implementation process, help drive resolution - advising on remediation paths, providing additional resources, or escalating to leadership as appropriate.

  • Roll up sleeves alongside the Analyst and Engineer when needed - working through complex problems together, filling gaps, and doing whatever it takes to keep engagements on track and moving forward.

  • Serve as the advocate for the business within the governance process and the representative of Enterprise Technology to the business - holding both positions simultaneously without losing either.

  • Escalate risk-flagged items to senior leadership where appropriate; ensure disposition rationale is documented for every escalation.

Governance Program Development

  • Own the overall health and continuous improvement of the AI Governance Concierge Service - setting the direction for how the service evolves, scales, and delivers greater value over time.

  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of the submission process, research methodology, and risk assessment framework as patterns emerge across the pipeline.

  • Help identify patterns that suggest the need for new policy guidance, approved tool lists, or category-level pre-approvals - and support driving those conversations with the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Represent Enterprise Technology as a knowledgeable, responsive partner in AI adoption conversations at the brand and practice level across dentsu Americas.

  • Serve as an active member of AI communities and working groups within dentsu - staying current on emerging tools, trends, and governance developments and bringing relevant insights back to the service.

  • Help identify integration and automation opportunities with AIRS, ServiceNow, and other enterprise platforms - driving efficiency across the governance lifecycle over time.

Who You Are

This role is for someone who is energized by building something new and leading a team to deliver it. A natural problem-solver and trusted advisor who is equally comfortable in a senior business stakeholder meeting and a cross-functional escalation call - and who takes personal accountability for outcomes, not just activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise technology, IT governance, compliance, consulting, or a related client-facing function within a large organization.

  • Experience managing or directing a small team; comfortable helping set direction, assigning work, and keeping the team aligned on outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional engagements with multiple competing stakeholders and priorities.

  • Familiarity with agile ways of working - sprint planning, stand-ups, backlogs, and iterative delivery in an operational context.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate between technical, legal, and business audiences without losing precision or trust.

  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, generative AI capabilities, and the risk and compliance landscape around AI adoption - data privacy, model transparency, IP exposure, third-party risk.

  • Consultative by nature: you listen before you prescribe, and you care about getting the right outcome for the business, not just closing the ticket.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a media, marketing, advertising, or professional services organization.

  • Familiarity with GenAI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, ISO 42001) or data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms (Claude Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, or similar).

  • Background in vendor risk assessment, third-party due diligence, or enterprise procurement.

  • Experience with Coupa, ServiceNow, OneTrust, or similar enterprise workflow and compliance tools.

  • IAPP AIGP, CIPP, CISSP, or equivalent certification is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, the service is operational and credible. At least three end-to-end engagements are underway or completed. You have established working relationships with your counterparts in Legal, Privacy, Security, and Global Enterprise Technology, and your Analyst and Engineer have a clear understanding of how the team operates and its agile rhythm. The AI Concierge Program Tracker is live and accurate. You have documented the current-state process gaps you intend to help close.

At six months, business teams are proactively reaching out before they select a vendor - not after. Time-to-approval has measurably decreased. You have helped deliver at least one reusable pre-approval framework for a high-volume tool category, and your team is operating as a tight, efficient unit.

At one year, the AI Governance Concierge Service is recognized across dentsu Americas as a competitive advantage - not a compliance burden. Business teams treat you as a trusted partner. Submission volume is tracked, managed, and improving. The service has a reputation that sells itself.

The annual base salary range for this position is $164,450 - $200,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.

Benefits available with this position include:
• Medical, vision, and dental insurance,
• Life insurance,
• Short-term and long-term disability insurance,
• 401k,
• Flexible paid time off,
• At least 15 paid holidays per year,
• Paid sick and safe leave, and
• Paid parental leave.
