OverviewThe AI Governance Analyst plays a critical role in the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure organizational AI systems operate within risk and compliance boundaries.
Starting base pay for this role is between $100,000 and $122,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).
Responsibilities
- Creates andmaintainsAI governance policies, standards, and frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements (GDPR,ISO 42001, etc.)
- Identifiespotential risks that couldimpactthe organization and evaluate the severity and likelihood of these risks
- Conducts AI model risk assessments (bias, explainability, data quality, security)
- Monitors third-party AI tools and vendor risk management
- Supports internal and external audits related to AI systems
- Coordinates with Legal, Privacy, Security, andTechnologyteams
- Builds awareness of AI governance requirements across the organization
- Supports teams in implementing compliant AI practices
- Leads risk assessments and controls design
- Utilizes deep knowledge of AI/ML concepts (model types, training, deployment, bias, explainability)
- Ensurescompliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience ininformation securitywith a focus onIT audit and/orGovernance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)role.
- Proficiencyin risk management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent team player.
- Preferred: Experience with ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and SSAE 18/SOC audits.
- Preferred: Relevant security or security audit and compliance certifications (i.e., Security+, CISA, CRISC, CISSP).
