Key ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for an AI Engineer I who is passionate about applying Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI technologies to solve real business problems. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience developing AI solutions and working with cloud-based data and AI platforms.
In this role, you will work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, and business stakeholders to design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions. You will contribute to the implementation of machine learning models, intelligent agents, AI copilots, and data-driven applications while following CAE engineering standards and best practices.
ResponsibilitiesAI Solution Development- Develop, test, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions that address business needs.
- Support the integration of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent agents into enterprise applications.
- Assist in building AI-powered copilots, chatbots, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics solutions.
- Develop reusable AI components, APIs, and services following software engineering best practices.
- Participate in AI solution design reviews and technical discussions.
Data and Model Engineering- Prepare, transform, and validate structured and unstructured datasets for AI use cases.
- Support the development and optimization of ML and AI models throughout their lifecycle.
- Assist with feature engineering, model evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Work with data engineers to integrate AI solutions with enterprise data platforms.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and traceability throughout the AI lifecycle.
Platform and MLOps- Support deployment and monitoring of AI solutions using Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, and related cloud technologies.
- Participate in CI/CD practices for AI and machine learning solutions.
- Contribute to model versioning, testing, monitoring, and operationalization activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting production AI workloads and performance issues.
Governance, Security and Responsible AI- Follow CAE standards related to Responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance.
- Support model documentation and implementation of AI governance controls.
- Ensure AI solutions comply with security and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in validation activities to ensure AI outputs are reliable, explainable, and fit for purpose.
Collaboration and Continuous Learning- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and identify AI opportunities.
- Share knowledge with team members and contribute to a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Stay current with emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and cloud technologies.
- Participate in proof-of-concepts and innovation initiatives to evaluate new AI capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience developing software, data, or AI solutions.
- Experience with Python programming.
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and AI development concepts.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI SDK, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Knowledge of SQL and data manipulation techniques.
- Understanding of REST APIs and software development best practices.
- Familiarity with Git and source control practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud AI platforms.
- Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and vector databases.
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker.
- Understanding of MLOps concepts and CI/CD practices.
- Experience building AI assistants, copilots, or conversational applications.
- Knowledge of Responsible AI, model governance, and AI security principles.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
