Full Job Description
Lead the future of work at HODGE. Drive enterprise AI strategy, governance, and adoption while empowering teams across the organization to unlock measurable business value through responsible artificial intelligence. This position is an onsite role based in our Enterprise office in Dubuque, Iowa.

Join us as an AI Enablement Strategist where you will be responsible for accelerating HODGE's adoption of artificial intelligence and process automation as enterprise capabilities. The role serves as a central lead for discovery, prioritization, governance, and cultural adoption of AI across enterprise functions - Accounting, Finance, HR, IT, Operational Excellence, Marketing, and Training. The position does not build production solutions; it ensures the right problems are identified, prioritized, governed, and handed off to IT, Operational Excellence, or functional teams for delivery, while remaining accountable for outcomes. The role staffs the AI Steering Committee, chairs the AI Champion Group, and partners across departments to coach leaders and teams on responsible AI usage, measure business impact, and build durable enterprise AI literacy. This role works with a high degree of visibility and cross-functional collaboration working directly with executive leadership and Directors across the enterprise.

What You'll do
  • AI Enablement & Cultural Stewardship: Coach leaders and teams on responsible AI use and effective prompting practices. Build enterprise AI literacy that supports and enhances human judgment. Reinforce departmental ownership of processes and protect HODGE culture through the AI transition.
  • Champion Group Leadership: Revive and chair the AI Champion Group as the network for use-case piloting and cultural adoption. Refresh membership, establish charter, set cadence, and maintain a healthy use-case backlog.
  • Steering Committee Staffing: Staff the AI Steering Committee with intake, prioritization recommendations, guardrail proposals, and impact reporting. Translate departmental opportunities into prioritization decisions the Committee can act on.
  • Process Discovery & Opportunity Identification: Sit with departments to observe, document, and map priority workflows. Distinguish manual improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled opportunities. Quantify baseline effort, cycle time, quality, and cost impacts.
  • Prioritization & Handoff: Own Manage intake and prioritization of automation and AI initiatives. Route builds to IT, Operational Excellence, or business units based on defined guidelines. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives through a unified brief with a designated business owner.
  • Measurement & Communication: Standardize reporting on savings, cycle time, and quality improvements. Maintain the Wins repository and convert use cases into quantified ROI. Communicate wins and lessons learned Enterprise-wide.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct ninety-day post-implementation reviews for delivered initiatives. Maintain an iteration backlog alongside the new build backlog to support continuous improvement after go-live.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Operations, IT, Operational Excellence, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Training to align people, process, and technology in support of strategic goals. Lead through influence and partnership across teams.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the AI Enablement Strategist must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Education/Experience:

Required:
  • Five or more years of experience leading process improvement, transformation, or enablement work across cross-functional teams; or equivalent experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or program management with a demonstrated AI or automation focus.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of modern AI capabilities (large language models, AI agents, generative tools) and the ability to translate tool capability into business use cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, process design, and systems-thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, define structure where none exists, and deliver results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executives and translate technical concepts for business audiences.

Preferred:

  • Experience designing or operating a Center of Excellence, Champion Group, Community of Practice, or similar enterprise enablement network.
  • Experience with change management methodology (Prosci, ADKAR, or similar).
  • Experience partnering with Finance, Accounting, or HR functions on process automation or system implementation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise productivity and collaboration platforms, project tracking systems, and data and analytics tooling.
  • Master's degree in business, information systems, organizational development, or related field.
