JOB DESCRIPTION

The AI Enablement Specialist will serve as a hands-on educator, business partner, and change catalyst. The role will work with business leaders, application owners, technology teams, and employees across the Washington Companies to move AI from awareness and experimentation into practical, repeatable use. AI capabilities to guide users, support pilots, and connect approved ideas with the right resources.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Literacy & Enablement
•    Build employee understanding of AI fundamentals, appropriate use, and practical ways AI can support everyday work.
•    Develop and deliver hands-on learning experiences such as training sessions, demonstrations, workshops, office hours, and coaching.
•    Create reusable enablement materials, including prompt examples, quick-reference guides, playbooks, role-based examples, and learning resources.
•    Help employees become confident using Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI-enabled tools by explaining capabilities, limitations, and effective prompting techniques.

Business Opportunity Discovery & Development
•    Build trusted relationships with leaders and employees to understand business priorities, pain points, repetitive work, and improvement opportunities.
•    Facilitate discovery sessions that translate business challenges into clearly defined AI, automation, analytics, or process-improvement opportunities.
•    Document use cases, including the business problem, users, expected value, readiness needs, owner, and success measures.
•    Maintain an opportunity pipeline and coordinate handoffs to the appropriate delivery teams.

Change Adoption & Value Realization
•    Develop adoption plans that help business teams move approved AI capabilities from awareness into consistent, practical use.
•    Support change management activities, including stakeholder communication, readiness planning, reinforcement, feedback collection, and issue escalation.
•    Identify adoption barriers such as low confidence, unclear use cases, workflow friction, access constraints, or content readiness, and recommend practical ways to address them.
•    Track and communicate value measures such as active use, time saved, quality improvements, employee feedback, business outcomes, and next steps for continued adoption.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, agents, Power Platform, workflow automation, Microsoft AI tools and the suite of Microsoft 365 products.
•    Understanding of generative AI concepts, prompt techniques, copilots, agents, automation, and human review of AI-generated work.
•    Ability to evaluate and demonstrate AI features embedded in enterprise applications and vendor software.
•    Ability to create simple examples, prompts, demonstrations, agents, or low-code automations for learning and opportunity validation.
•    Ability to interpret adoption and usage data and translate findings into practical recommendations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
•    Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, communications, education, computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
•    Relevant certifications in AI, Microsoft technologies, change management, business analysis, instructional design, or process improvement are considered an asset.

Experience:
•    2+ years of progressive experience in AI enablement
•    5+ years of technology adoption, business analysis, process improvement, change management, learning and development, data, analytics, or related technology roles.
•    Demonstrated experience helping employees adopt new technology through training, hands-on workshops, coaching, office hours, demonstrations, job aids, or champion networks.
•    Experience partnering with business teams to identify pain points, assess workflow opportunities, document use cases, define success measures, and translate needs into practical AI, automation, analytics, or process-improvement opportunities.
•    Hands-on experience using Microsoft 365 Productivity suite and Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, generative AI, or other AI-enabled tools to improve processes, analyze information, develop examples or prototypes, and support measurable business value.
