Full Job Description
Position Summary:

This role exists to build Empower's AI-powered creative production engine - at scale, from scratch, end to end. The AI Creative Production Manager owns the full creative pipeline: from initial concept and storyboard through AI-assisted production and final delivery across paid, organic, and educational channels. This is a hands-on production role. You will use the most current generative AI tools to produce static ads, dynamic creatives, short-form and long-form video, and educational content that drives patient and provider acquisition. You will serve as the production backbone for the Campaign team, Performance Marketing team, and Marketing Innovation team - compressing time-to-launch, scaling creative output, and ensuring every asset is built to perform.

Responsibilities:

Creative Ideation and Production at Scale
  • Asset Development: Own the full creative production pipeline from concept to completion. Translate campaign briefs into structured creative concepts and visual storyboards before a single tool is opened. Then execute at scale: use generative AI to produce static images, motion graphics, dynamic ad variants, short-form video (15-60s), long-form video (2-5 min), and educational content. Primary tools include ChatGPT, Claude, GPT-4o, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Ideogram, Leonardo.ai, Canva AI, Runway Gen-3, Sora, Kling, Pika, HeyGen, Synthesia, ElevenLabs, Descript, CapCut AI, and Opus Clip. Build and maintain a structured asset library with versioning, format variants, and variation testing built in.
  • Compliance Execution: Apply FDA, FTC, and HIPAA advertising guidelines to every creative asset. Work within pre-cleared templates to keep content compliant without slowing production velocity.
  • Format Adaptation: Rapidly reformat master creative assets for each platform's native conventions - UGC-style short-form for TikTok and Reels, intent-driven formats for Google, and outcome-focused creative for programmatic and retargeting.

Video and Educational Content Production
  • AI Video: Own end-to-end AI video production - from script through final export. Write video scripts and voiceover copy, generate synthetic voiceovers using ElevenLabs (Eleven v3), produce AI-generated video using Sora, Kling, Pika, and Runway Gen-3, and assemble and edit final cuts using Descript and CapCut AI. Deliver platform-ready video in all required formats and aspect ratios without dependence on a separate video editor or post-production team.
  • Educational Content: Produce educational content at scale - patient education videos, medication explainers, condition awareness content, and provider-facing clinical summaries - using AI tools to move from brief to polished output rapidly. Ensure all educational content meets 503A/503B accuracy standards, medical affairs approval, and platform-specific compliance requirements. This content builds brand trust and supports both acquisition and retention across patient and HCP audiences.
  • Content Scaling: Develop and maintain repeatable production systems for educational and long-form content that enable rapid iteration without sacrificing accuracy or compliance. Build modular content frameworks that can be versioned and adapted across audience segments, therapeutic categories, and distribution channels.

Performance Optimization
  • Creative Testing: Execute structured A/B and multivariate tests across hooks, visuals, CTAs, and audience overlays. Document results and apply learnings to the next production cycle to continuously improve ROAS and CAC.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor real-time performance signals - CTR, thumb-stop rate, ROAS, CPL - and use AI-assisted analytics tools to detect creative fatigue and prioritize the next round of iterations.
  • Optimization Reporting: Maintain a creative performance dashboard tracking results by channel, asset type, and audience segment. Share regular performance summaries with clear, data-backed creative recommendations.

Cross-Functional Execution
  • Brief Execution: Serve as the primary creative production resource for the Campaign team, Performance Marketing team, and Marketing Innovation team. Translate briefs into structured concepts, storyboards, and production-ready assets on time and at spec. Manage concurrent requests across multiple teams without losing production quality or compliance integrity.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate creative status, test results, and blockers clearly to marketing leads and cross-functional partners. Keep all stakeholders aligned with concise, organized updates.
  • Tool Management: Operate the AI creative tech stack - generative platforms, DAM systems, and creative automation tools - with rigor. Document workflows and flag opportunities to improve speed or quality.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Comprehensive, hands-on proficiency across the current AI creative toolset, including: image generation (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Ideogram, Leonardo.ai, DALL-E 3, Canva AI), video generation (Sora, Kling, Pika, Runway Gen-3, HeyGen, Synthesia), voiceover and audio (ElevenLabs, Eleven v3), copy and ideation (ChatGPT, Claude, GPT-4o), video editing and repurposing (Descript, CapCut AI, Opus Clip), and digital asset management (DAM platforms). Able to move from brief to published asset rapidly across all format types.
  • Creative concept and storyboarding fluency: ability to translate a campaign brief into a structured creative concept, shot list, and visual storyboard before touching a production tool. This upstream thinking is what separates strong AI creative producers from prompt-and-paste operators - and is essential for producing work that converts, not just work that renders.
  • Working knowledge of performance marketing fundamentals - A/B testing, creative fatigue detection, ROAS and CAC tracking - and the analytical instincts to act on data rather than intuition. Familiarity with healthcare advertising compliance requirements, including FDA promotional guidelines, FTC rules, and HIPAA-safe messaging, with a track record of producing compelling creative within regulatory constraints.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns and asset requests with strong organizational discipline, clear communication, and a bias for building repeatable systems over one-off solutions.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience. A portfolio of AI-generated creative work is a hard requirement for this role - candidates must submit examples of static ads, video content, and at least one piece of educational or long-form content produced using AI tools. Advanced AI tooling proficiency may substitute for formal credentials; a strong portfolio always takes precedence.
  • 3+ years in performance creative, paid media, or growth marketing, with demonstrated hands-on use of AI tools to produce and optimize ad content at scale; DTC, health-tech, or high-growth startup experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to execute paid creative programs across Meta, Google, and TikTok with measurable impact on ROAS, CAC, or customer acquisition - supported by data, not just outputs.
  • Experience producing compliant creative within a regulated industry is a strong plus; ability to work within legal and brand guardrails without sacrificing performance is required.

Key Competencies:
  • Customer Focus: Builds trust through customer-centric solutions.
  • Strategic AI: Guides responsible AI adoption and adaptation.
  • Optimizes Work Processes: Drives efficiency with continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates: Partners effectively to achieve shared goals.
  • Resourcefulness: Secures and deploys resources efficiently.
  • Manages Complexity: Simplifies and solves complex challenges.
  • Ensures Accountability: Delivers on commitments with integrity.
  • Situational Adaptability: Adjusts approach to shifting conditions.
  • Communicates Effectively: Tailors messages to diverse audiences.

Values:
  • People: Empowering people defines who we are.
  • Quality: Excellence in every product, every time.
  • Service: Serving others is our highest purpose.
  • Innovation: Advancing care through technology and discovery.
