AI/ML Platform Engineer

Dulles, VA

Position Overview:
REDLattice is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to help build and maintain secure, offline AI capabilities that support advanced cyber operations. In this role, you'll evaluate, deploy, and operationalize cutting-edge large language models (LLMs) in air-gapped environments, enabling development and vulnerability research teams to leverage AI effectively and securely. This position focuses on AI platform engineering and infrastructure, not model training or AI research. You'll be responsible for creating the systems, interfaces, and workflows that make AI accessible and useful across mission teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate emerging large language models (LLMs) for mission applicability, including open-source and commercially available models.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain offline/air-gapped LLM environments.
  • Build and maintain AI platforms that provide secure, reliable access to LLM capabilities.
  • Develop harnesses, APIs, and user interfaces that enable engineers and researchers to leverage AI within secure environments.
  • Integrate LLMs into development and vulnerability research (VR) workflows to improve productivity and mission effectiveness.
  • Assess infrastructure, compute, storage, and networking requirements needed to support AI deployments.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize AI platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
