Full Job Description
The AI & Analytics Center of Excellence within Strategy & Transactions is looking for a Manager to help lead this incredible team. This role focuses on rapid analytics and AI prototyping, building proof-of-value solutions in weeks rather than months, and scaling the practice through people, process, and reusable assets. The work we do is real, with a real impact on the world. Join us!

Recruiting for this position will end on 5/6/2026

Work You'll Do

As a Manager on the team, you will lead the delivery of decision-ready analytics and AI-powered prototypes across Strategy & Transactions engagements. You will own engagement workstreams end-to-end, manage and develop a team of analysts and senior consultants, and serve as the day-to-day technical and client lead for Launchpad sprints. You will:
  • Lead rapid prototype sprints from intake through handoff-framing high-value business questions, defining KPIs, shaping hypotheses, and translating ambiguous deal-team needs into a concrete, time-boxed analytics plan.
  • Direct and quality-review the build of MVPs and proof-of-value solutions, including dashboards, predictive models, segmentation analyses, and AI-enabled tools, ensuring technical rigor, reproducibility, and fit-for-purpose design.
  • Own data strategy on the engagement: assess source quality, define minimum viable datasets, make build-vs-buy and tooling decisions, and set lightweight governance, metric definitions, and documentation standards.
  • Manage a team of analysts and senior consultants-setting workplans, allocating work, coaching on technical and consulting craft, providing performance feedback, and developing the next generation of practitioners.
  • Serve as the day-to-day client and deal-team interface, translating technical findings into clear, executive-ready recommendations and managing stakeholder expectations through the prototyping cycle.
  • Curate and grow the Launchpad's library of reusable frameworks, templates, accelerators, and AI assets to compress delivery timelines, reduce engagement risk, and scale the practice.
  • Prepare handoff packages-requirements, code, architecture plans, and delivery roadmaps-and partner with longer-term implementation teams to ensure prototypes transition cleanly to production.
  • Contribute to points of view, scoping discussions, and (less frequently) proposals; help shape the Launchpad's go-to-market by developing thought capital on rapid analytics and applied AI in Strategy & Transactions.
The Team

The AI & Analytics CoE acts as a rapid analytics development engine supporting Strategy & Transactions engagements by building prototypes and MVP analytics solutions that inform critical business decisions. Managers lead delivery, develop talent, and steward the reusable assets and methods that make weeks-not-months delivery possible.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 6+ years of professional experience in analytics, data science, consulting, or a related field, with progressive responsibility for delivery and team leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams and manage teams in a client-facing or stakeholder-facing environment, including coaching and mentoring junior practitioners.
  • Experience leading a team, including providing direction, performance feedback, and development.
  • Proficiency in Python for analytics and modeling (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn; statistical modeling for inference/forecasting; plotly/matplotlib or similar visualization libraries) sufficient to direct, code-review, and unblock a team.
  • Hands-on experience with applied modeling: e.g., regression/classification, tree-based models (e.g., random forest), clustering/segmentation, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation (CTEs, window functions, query readability) sufficient to set standards and review team work.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience integrating modern AI/ML-including AI-assisted development tools and LLM/API-based capabilities where applicable-into analytical workflows and team delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear executive recommendations.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
  • Live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte's consulting offices.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
  • Experience with cloud data platforms/warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and/or Spark (e.g., Databricks/EMR).
  • Experience communicating analytical insights through dashboards or visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Python visualization libraries).
  • Experience producing reliable reporting datasets: pipeline thinking, refresh schedules, and data quality validation.
  • Strong foundation in statistics (confidence intervals, regression interpretation, bias/variance intuition) and evaluation discipline (train/test splits, cross-validation, leakage awareness, appropriate metrics).
  • Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or equivalents and data quality tooling/practices.
  • Hands-on experience using LLMs and AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) and integrating LLM APIs into production or prototype workflows.
  • Experience contributing to proposals, scoping, points of view, or other business development activities.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and interest in relevant offerings (Strategy, M&A, Sustainability, etc.).
  • Experience building reusable assets (templates, playbooks, accelerators) that scale a delivery practice.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative, scientific, business, or related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Natural Sciences).
Professional Skills (Success Factors)
  • Client leadership: credible, structured communicator able to influence deal teams and client stakeholders without authority.
  • Team leadership: develops others through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations; sets a high technical and delivery bar.
  • Delivery judgment: knows when to prototype, when to harden, and when to hand off; protects scope and pace under ambiguity.
  • Commercial acumen: understands how analytics and AI decisions impact deal outcomes, client value, and risk.
