Description

NexGen Data Systems is seeking a highly qualified Agile Project Manager to direct and coordinate sprint-based engineering and compliance operations for the Senior Information Security Officer (SISO) support contract at United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The scope of this role focuses on the execution of facilitating high-velocity DevSecOps pipelines, Zero Trust implementation milestones, and eMASS compliance workflows. The Agile Project Manager will serve as the primary on-site technical facilitator for cross-functional teams, driving the daily execution of technical tasks, removing engineering blockers, and ensuring architectural requirements are mapped to project backlogs.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospective sessions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery between developers, cybersecurity engineers, and RMF compliance staff to maintain pipeline velocity.
  • Manage and prioritize the technical backlog in alignment with USTRANSCOM strategic maturity roadmaps for DevSecOps and Zero Trust.
  • Remove engineering impediments and provide rapid escalation and resolution of systemic project blockers.
  • Report sprint status, burn-down metrics, and velocity indicators to the Program Manager and Government leads.
  • Ensure all technical engineering outputs are documented in accordance with command security standards and eMASS workflow requirements.
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with DoD and USTRANSCOM cybersecurity regulations, physical/personnel security rules, and information protection policies.

Requirements

Desired/Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile project management in a DoD environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipeline management, eMASS, and tracking technical milestones in tools such as JIRA or MS Planner.
  • Proven skills in team facilitation, conflict resolution, and Agile framework enforcement.
  • Strong oral, written, and briefing communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
