Full Job Description
Kick-start the next chapter of your engineering career, building real travel features with AI coding agents at your side.

As an Agentic Software Engineer II, you are a product-minded, full-stack engineer who builds and ships features using AI coding agents as everyday development tools. With moderate autonomy, you take well-scoped features from implementation through production, using Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to write better code, faster.

This role supports the technology foundation behind arrivia, a leader in travel loyalty, membership, and cruise solutions. The features you ship reach millions of members.

You will exercise sound judgment on implementation approach and quality trade-offs, with your decisions shaping delivery timelines and code maintainability. You will consult senior engineers on architecture and raise risks that need a team-level look.

This is a builder's seat with real room to grow. You will sharpen your craft with modern AI tooling in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that spans multiple technology domains and teams.

What You'll Own

  • Ship features: Develop and deliver features and services for our travel platform on a full-stack product team.
  • Build with AI agents: Use agentic coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot in your daily workflow to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
  • Validate AI-generated code: Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance before it merges.
  • Modernize services: Contribute to refactoring and modernizing existing services with cloud-native design patterns.
  • Write quality code: Produce clean, testable, peer-reviewed, well-optimized code, whether authored by hand or with AI agents.
  • Support the platform: Contribute to the development and operations of an increasingly distributed architecture.
  • Reduce technical debt: Advocate for quality and durability alongside Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Product Designers.
  • Protect member trust: Safeguard the privacy and security of members' sensitive data, in partnership with our Risk and Security teams.
  • Meet reliability goals: Contribute to backend and system SLOs as part of the broader engineering team.

What You'll Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of full-stack development experience building web applications and services.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in professional workflows.
  • Proficiency in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular.
  • A solid grounding in RESTful API design and microservices patterns.
  • Experience building and deploying applications on a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering for code generation, and an awareness of the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • A strong curiosity about emerging AI tools and a drive to stay current with the agentic coding landscape.
  • A formal CS degree is a plus, not a requirement. We care most about what you can build.

Benefits & Perks

  • Unlimited PTO
  • Exclusive employee travel rates
  • Travel discounts through arrivia programs
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company participation
