Agentic AI Software Engineer designs, develops, and deploys advanced AI-powered software solutions, with a focus on autonomous AI agents, multi-agent systems, LLMs, and scalable cloud-native applications. The role covers the full software development lifecycle and involves building microservices, APIs, AI agent workflows, RAG architectures, agent memory systems, and modern software applications. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to develop and improve next-generation AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions supporting Agentic AI capabilities.
- Architect and implement autonomous agent systems, reasoning engines, and multi-agent workflows.
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications and distributed systems using APIs and modern architectures.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment and sustainment.
- Develop clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient software.
- Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and mission stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system testing.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, tools, and software engineering approaches.
- Develop solutions using LLMs and AI agent technologies.
- Implement agent frameworks, tool-use, function-calling, and agent communication protocols.
- Support RAG architectures, vector databases, and agent memory systems.
- Apply prompt engineering and AI evaluation techniques to improve system reliability.
- Support CI/CD, DevSecOps, source control, and modern software development practices.
Required Qualifications- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with adjudicated Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Significant experience with Python and object-oriented programming languages.
- Strong understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with Git and modern source-control platforms such as GitLab or GitHub.
- Experience with branching strategies, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools.
- Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience developing with LLMs or AI agents.
- Experience with an agent framework such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Pydantic AI, or similar.
- Familiarity with MCP, A2A, tool-use, or function-calling.
- Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, or agent memory systems.
- Experience with prompt engineering or LLM evaluation and reliability techniques.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications- Experience with AWS or Azure.
- Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes environments with Helm.
- Experience with React or Angular.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
- IAT Level II or III certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CASP.
