Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer - Senior

Summary: Provide senior-level systems engineering, stress analysis, test planning/reporting, modeling & simulation, and airworthiness support for Army aviation R&D.

Key Duties
  • Develop technical performance measures, test plans/reports, structural load analyses, RAP/vibration assessments, and substantiation packages.
  • Support airworthiness processes (AR 70-62), technology insertion, and engineering cognizance.
  • Oversee less-senior engineers; present findings at technical interchange meetings and senior briefings.
  • Travel and test support as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Master's or Doctoral preferred).
  • Bachelor's + 8 years, Master's + 6 years, or Doctoral + 3 years of relevant aviation/R&D experience generating test plans, analysis, and reports.
  • Strong classical analysis, FEA, and fatigue/infinite life assessment capability.
  • Ability to oversee staff and support delegated airworthiness authority functions.
