Aerospace Corrosion Engineer
The Opportunity:

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape aerospace design, development and sustainment activities by leading corrosion engineering activities on stealth aircraft platforms. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience working in defense engineering, sustainment, or maintenance organization working as a corrosion engineer
  • Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, such as galvanic, pitting, environmental, or stress corrosion cracking, and the implementation of corrosion prevention and control programs
  • Knowledge of aircraft and defense corrosion standards, including airworthiness
  • Ability to analyze corrosion data, findings, trends, and recommendations within a complex aircraft enterprise to develop a portfolio approach in corrosion prevention and control
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Corrosion Engineering


Nice If You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience working as an aerospace corrosion engineer particularly in mixed-material, low-observable aircraft structures
  • Experience with corrosion-related databases, analysis pipelines, or dashboards
  • Experience developing and implementing corrosion prevention and control programs (CPCP) that meet regulatory requirements
  • Ability to use Power BI or other data evaluation tools and methods
  • Master's degree in Corrosion Engineering or a Corrosion-related field
  • Association of Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) in Corrosion Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
