Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazing AEGIS Based Defense Futures Engineering Sr Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet. You will also be part of a team of some of the best and brightest Engineers and scientists our country has to offer.

What You Will Be Doing With US:
  • Assist the ABE Future Systems Architect in executing future capability studies, agile process development, and project execution using digital engineering tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Cameo).
  • Provides Aegis technical assessment of working groups related to threat environments and navy focused studies. Generate and provide technical assistance for projects to address modeling and simulation, algorithm/software updates, and as the Scrum Lead.
  • Develop working level and Executive level briefings on project topics and planned improvement programs. Collaborates with internal and external AB organizations on topics relevant to areas of responsibility.
  • Products include:
    • Technical Expertise in Missile Defense or Navy focused systems integration
    • Proven ability to develop, document, and execute comprehensive strategies and capability roadmaps to guide long-term system development
    • Product deliveries, task management, and data management of Futures Scrum Team via Confluence and Jira
  • Proficiency in implementing Digital Engineering frameworks and data management using Jira and Confluence
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master or a Lead within an Agile Framework, managing complex workflows, and task management.
  • Proven record of technical collaboration with internal and external organizations and ability to lead and execute technical working groups


What We Need from You:
  • US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline specifically related to area of specialty and
    Advanced degree may be preferred at this level
  • 10+ years of related professional experience
  • Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
  • Missile System Experience


These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
  • Master's Degree in STEM Field
  • 12+ Years experience
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
  • Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.


Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
