Full Job Description
What We're Looking For
Responsible for supporting Advisory for its work in alternative delivery, public-private partnerships, and project and program development. The candidate should bring experience and a skillset that can directly support Advisory's work in providing analytical expertise across financial feasibility, funding analysis, and project economics. The role will include work across engagements to provide structured analysis, maintain common tools and methodologies, and help ensure quality and consistency in financial work products and operates within an integrated advisory environment, collaborating closely with senior advisors, technical leads, and local office teams to advance client objectives. Additionally, the position will include broader development, commercial, and policy development and guidance to support large and complex projects and programs across HNTB's broad base of clients and engagements.

This opportunity entails being responsible for supporting a specialized practice group in Advisory. This position applies understanding of a specific practice area and the HNTB business model to ensure 4for4 delivery and effective project performance while utilizing their technical expertise to advise and support Advisory and HNTB clients on projects and programs nationwide.

What You'll Do:
  • Provides strategic advice, analysis, report preparation and presentations to staff-level clients. Ability to initiate and advance drafts of technical and/or commercial documentation including commercial terms or structuring, business case reports, procurement strategies, proposals, delivery options analyses, etc.
  • Executes assigned work with minimal supervision. Establishes and ensures timely completion of tasks, reviews, and content creation, while providing support and limited oversight of junior team members. Manages external sub-consultants (e.g., financial, legal, and insurance advisors) and coordinates tasks while overseeing and assessing their work.
  • Supports senior Advisory staff on their interactions with clients by preparing for meetings, briefings, and phone calls.
  • Supports senior Advisory staff and the line organization in pursuit of strategically important clients and project opportunities, providing technical expertise and market knowledge to local/regional marketing teams as appropriate.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance Advisory service offerings and collaborates with team members to proactively develop solutions to ensure 4for4 delivery. Supports senior Advisory staff in preparing strategic plans, internal communications materials, and other initiatives to expand Advisory's reach and impact across the firm.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Engineering, Public Policy, Program Management, Construction Management, Information Technology or relevant field and 8 years of relevant experience; consulting, public administration, finance, law, management consulting.
  • Master's degree in relevant field and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • PhD/JD in relevant field and 4 years of relevant experience.

The approximate pay range for New York is $126,950.84 - $248,205.18. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.

The approximate pay range for Virginia is $145,993.46 - $228,348.77. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position based on all selected locations within the state at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
