What You Will Do:

  • Support the reliability, resilience, and security of Operational Technology (OT) systems that enable critical energy delivery operations.
  • Provide technical expertise for industrial communications, telemetry systems, SCADA environments, networking infrastructure, and remote monitoring technologies supporting field operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate technology risks, resolve complex technical issues, and improve the performance and supportability of OT solutions.
  • Coordinate and participate in disaster recovery exercises, resiliency testing, and business continuity initiatives to strengthen operational readiness.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, recovery procedures, and resiliency standards that support critical infrastructure operations.
  • Contribute to technology lifecycle planning, modernization initiatives, and strategic roadmaps for OT infrastructure, communications systems, and field technologies.
  • Assess emerging technologies and provide recommendations that enhance reliability, cybersecurity, recoverability, and long-term business value.


Who You Are:

  • University degree or technology diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge of OT infrastructure, industrial communications, field automation technologies, and remote monitoring systems.
  • Experience with networking technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, cellular communications, modems, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of RTUs, data acquisition systems, field instrumentation, and telemetry technologies.
  • Four or more years of directly related experience supporting Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA platforms, telemetry environments, or industrial networking solutions.
  • Able to travel throughout North America (US and Canada) for business purposes. Valid passport is required.


Preferred:

  • Experience developing or supporting disaster recovery, resiliency, and business continuity programs within critical infrastructure environments.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices and controls applicable to OT and industrial control environments.
  • Knowledge of technology lifecycle management, modernization strategies, and vendor support planning.
  • Proven ability to assess technical and operational risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build partnerships across operations, engineering, technology, and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with regular collaboration across technology and operational teams supporting critical infrastructure systems.
  • Occasional travel is required within Canada and the United States to support field assessments, technology evaluations, disaster recovery testing, operational initiatives, and site visits to facilities such as control centers, field locations, and data centers.
  • Requires extended periods of computer-based work, technical analysis, documentation development, and participation in meetings and technical reviews.
  • Work involves managing competing priorities and responding to operational risks, technology challenges, resiliency testing activities, and project deadlines.


Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

  • Base salary ranges from $80,500 - $100,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Base salary ranges from $81,090 - $100,000 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
