Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the administration of retirement and benefits programs in Canada with external vendors.
  • Act as the primary contact for Payroll, HRIS, HR Business Partners, and external providers.
  • Communicate retirement and benefits programs to employees and HR teams, leading annual renewal activities.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain accurate documentation aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Advise HR teams as a subject matter expert on retirement and benefits program interpretation and application.
  • Support the administration of retirement committees and follow up on associated action items.
  • Monitor program performance, auditing reimbursements and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for transforming benefits programs.

Description
  • Coordinate the administration of retirement and benefits programs in Canada with external vendors (e.g., Sun Life, Desjardins, AON, Telus Health), ensuring compliance with contracts, legislation, and service agreements
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Payroll, HRIS, HR Business Partners, and external providers to support program delivery and optimization
  • Communicate retirement and benefits programs to employees and HR teams, including leading annual renewal cycles and related activities
  • Ensure program compliance and maintain accurate, high-quality documentation aligned with regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to HR teams by advising on the interpretation and application of retirement and benefits programs
  • Support the administration of retirement committees in Canada and follow up on action items and governance activities
  • Monitor program performance, including auditing reimbursements and identifying discrepancies or improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the transformation of benefits programs toward a more strategic model
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Benefits Analysts and HRBPs, to ensure alignment with business priorities and talent strategies
  • Support cost-conscious program management while balancing employee experience and organizational objectives

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in retirement and/or benefits program management or in a consulting environment
  • Experience with defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans
  • Knowledge of insurance plans, including flexible and traditional models
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel for reporting and data analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across various organizational levels
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong business acumen and influencing skills
  • Bilingualism in French and English (required)
  • Availability to work in a hybrid model (2-3 days per week on-site in Quebec)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Workday or other HRIS systems
  • Experience managing vendor relationships within a large, complex organization
  • Exposure to benefits program transformation or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience supporting governance structures such as retirement or pension committees
  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies in benefits programs
