Description

The Advisor, Planning & Scheduling, Implementation will support the planning, coordination, and execution of capital and integrity-related projects. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring performance, coordinating implementation activities, and providing project controls support to help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

The role requires strong Primavera experience, a solid understanding of project and portfolio execution, and the ability to work with Supervisors and Project Managers to develop, execute, and progress project plans and schedules.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Project Managers, engineering teams, operations, contractors, and stakeholders to build integrated schedules, identify risks, optimize resources, and support execution across multiple initiatives.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling tools.
• Build integrated project plans that align scope, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
• Monitor progress and provide schedule analysis, forecasts, and performance reporting.
• Identify schedule risks, constraints, and critical path impacts, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate planning sessions, schedule reviews, and progress meetings.
• Coordinate implementation activities across project teams, operations, engineering, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Track key milestones and support project governance and reporting requirements.
• Support the development of project execution plans, work packages, and implementation strategies.
• Support budgeting and resource planning through schedule and workload forecasting.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure planning activities meet operational and regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement of project planning, scheduling, and implementation processes.
• Define and champion planning and scheduling program goals and objectives.
• Serve as a Business Unit Primavera P6 subject matter expert, ensuring Primavera remains the source of truth for timelines, activity codes, and reporting.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams across Project Management and Controls, Engineering, Regulatory, Land, Environment, Supply Chain, Safety, Construction, and contractors to integrate schedules, confirm realistic timelines, and communicate milestones.
• Partner with Project Managers to identify critical path activities and dependencies that optimize project timelines.
• Identify risks and uncertainties that may affect timelines, and manage schedule changes such as baselines, trends, and recovery plans.
• Analyze schedule variances against baseline and recommend mitigation plans to project teams.
• Develop and refine schedule templates that apply lessons learned and standardize practices across the Implementation Project team.
• Assess resource needs and allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials for planned activities.
• Consolidate and report progress, exceptions, risks, and schedule performance metrics for cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Hydraulics, Regulatory, Land, Environment, and Oil Movements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional planners to define interfaces, schedule impacts or outages, and confirm interdependencies.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure plans are clearly communicated.

Education, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, project controls, or project execution.
• Demonstrated Primavera (P6) subject matter experience is a must.
• Experience planning and scheduling multiple concurrent projects and portfolios of projects.
• Ability to coordinate multiple interfaces, manage competing priorities, and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced knowledge of project scheduling methodologies and critical path analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), AACE, or equivalent certification.
• Experience within the pipeline, transportation, energy, or integrity management sectors.
• Familiarity with project stage-gate processes, project controls, and risk management practices.
