What You Will Do:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and consolidation activities in HFM, including intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and consolidation checks.

  • Facilitate internal and external audits by coordinating the preparation of working papers and supporting documents as required.

  • Act as a champion of the HFM and FCCS in the future, providing training and support to users throughout the company.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and related disclosures.

  • Contribute to accounting for complex or non-recurring transactions (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations).

  • Support the implementation of FCCS and other system or process improvements, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.

  • Build good working relationships with Finance groups in subsidiaries; use indirect facilitative leadership skills to achieve common objectives and goals.

  • Work closely with Financial Reporting & Accounting Research to ensure that new accounting standards are properly reflected in the consolidated results.

  • Maintain an awareness of current IFRS and US GAAP accounting pronouncements through professional development programs and courses.

Who You Are:

  • Accounting designated (CPA or equivalent) with a university degree and 4+ years of relevant post-qualification experience.

  • Solid understanding of financial consolidation processes; knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP is an asset.

  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, HFM) and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • A proactive problem-solver who is motivated to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and a high level of professionalism in all work.

  • Prior experience in data analytic applications such as Microsoft Power BI would be an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Must work to strict deadlines for key financial period end closings (monthly, quarterly, annually).

  • Some overtime/flexibility required around significant milestones on the FCCS conversion.
