Job Posting:#26-78Status:Temporary, Full-timePosting Closes:October 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.Schedule: 35 hours/week (7 hours/day) Working from approximately October 2026 to June 2027 with the possibility of extension Working within the Governance & Engagement department and reporting to the Manager, Strategy & Engagement, the Advisor, Corporate Planning & Reporting supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Parkland County's corporate planning, business planning, and performance reporting processes. Working collaboratively with departments across the organization, the Advisor supports alignment of business plans, performance measures, and budget initiatives with Council's Strategic Plan and corporate priorities. This position provides research, analysis, facilitation, and strategic advisory support to promote evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement. The Advisor monitors organizational performance and prepares corporate reports and dashboards, ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery in support of the County's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate for this position will have the following: • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Statistics or a related field. • PuMP certification and/or Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) are considered assets. • Formal performance measurement and metrics analysis training would be considered an asset. • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in performance measurement and strategic planning analytics and application. • Knowledge and technical experience working within strategy and operations of municipal government, including public policies and procedures to support efficient service delivery. • Exceptional data analysis, research and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment. • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, data visualization tools (such as PowerBI or Tableau) and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new programs. Requirements: • Ability to primarily work in-person at Parkland County Centre - 53109A HWY 779, Parkland County, AB. • A valid class 5 driver's license and current, satisfactory driver's abstract provided upon hire. • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required upon hire, excluding candidates under the age of 18 and current Parkland County employees. • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
