Full Job Description
The Advice Data & Analytics Director/Executive directs the strategic direction and execution of all data-related functions within MyAdvice, encompassing Data Stewardship and Data Management, Analytics and Reporting, Customer Segmentation and Data-Driven Strategy, and Data Science and Modeling. Sets the vision, priorities, and resource allocation for these domains, ensuring the organization leverages data to generate insights, inform strategic decision-making, and deliver high-impact programs for physicians and healthcare providers. Oversees the analytics, data science, segmentation, and business data stewardship functions, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Mentors senior analysts, drives adoption of best practices, and ensures alignment with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards. Maximizes the smart and ethical use of AI in all tasks to drive efficiency and data-driven insights.

This role partners closely with MagMutual's actuary and enterprise data teams.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Lead the Data Strategy & Analytics organization, including analytics, data science, segmentation, and business data stewardship teams.
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate internal, third-party, and external data sources to support MyAdvice research, analytics, product strategy, and customer insights.
  • Build and maintain business data stewardship artifacts, including data dictionaries, business rules, metadata, and data lineage, ensuring data is analysis-ready for research, modeling, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with enterprise data teams to align with MagMutual's architecture, governance, security, and standards.
  • Develop analytics frameworks, dashboards, KPIs, predictive models, and AI-enabled solutions to guide strategic decisions and customer-facing programs.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable data requirements and insights.
  • Manage cross-functional analytics initiatives, collaborating with research, risk strategy, marketing, actuarial, and product teams.
  • Champion agile principles across analytics initiatives, partnering with agile leadership to promote adaptive, collaborative project delivery.
  • Ensure the highest standards of data quality, governance, and compliance across all analytics functions.
  • Build and mature the analytics and data science competency within MyAdvice.
  • Represent MyAdvice analytics, communicating strategic insights and business impact.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS Analytics, Data Science, or similar) preferred.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in analytics, data science, BI, or insights functions; experience in healthcare, insurance, or risk management preferred.
  • Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, and enterprise data strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to source, evaluate, and integrate internal and external data for strategic use.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional analytics initiatives and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience mentoring senior analytics talent and building high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to lead the team through change, shifting priorities, and new challenges as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing AI responsibly to drive efficiency and insights is highly desirable.
  • Ability to influence complex, matrixed organizations and align analytics strategy with enterprise goals.
