Advanced Test Instrumentation Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead and manage complex instrumentation engineering projects within the Aerospace sector. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success, monitor progress, and maintain adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Your expertise will drive the successful execution and delivery of high-quality aerospace instrumentation projects.
In this role, you will impact the company's success by ensuring the effective management and delivery of instrumentation engineering projects that support Honeywell Aerospace's mission to provide innovative and reliable aerospace solutions.
You will report directly to our
Sr Test Eng Manager, and you'll work out of our
Phoenix, AZ location on a
Hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop advanced measurement sensors and deliver high-quality solutions for various turbomachinery products.
- Define measurement system integration that delivers reliable and accurate test data.
- Create standards and documentation for measurement sensor installations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define test requirements and ensure alignment with product specifications.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights.
- Implement innovative testing methodologies to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior test engineers.
- Travel: up to 10%
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 4+ years of experience in test engineering roles, preferably in aerospace environments.
- Extensive experience in advanced instrumentation engineering within aerospace or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, measurement methods, project management methodologies, and aerospace engineering standards.
- Proficiency with test software tools and scripting languages used for test automation and data processing.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex systems and providing technical solutions to improve test processes.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

- Experience leading large-scale, complex aerospace projects with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with sensor design, specialty test equipment, and data acquisition systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to evolving technologies and processes.
