As a(n) Advanced Software Architect you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading design, development, and evolution of BI and analytics solutions for healthcare coding and clinical data products for global customers.
  • Implementing Enterprise analytics best practices, data models, semantic models, agentic and generative AI analytics solutions for our global teams and customer base.
  • Determining the BI architecture, data modeling, and analytics best practices for delivery of Solventum HIS products and customer solutions.
  • Supporting Solventum HIS analytics development for both internal and external customers across the US and the globe. Working closely with team throughout Solventum to deliver our data driven products.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related field AND Ten (10+ ) years of Experience in Software Engineering.

AND

  • 3–5+ years in an architecture or technical leadership role designing scalable enterprise applications, including leading architecture design, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical evaluations to guide engineering direction, and establishing and enforcing engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural governance across teams.
  • Experience building user-facing applications with embedded analytics (e.g., dashboards, BI integrations such as QuickSight, Power BI, or similar), combined with collaboration across functions and mentoring development teams on architecture patterns, cloud design, and analytics integration.
  • Experience designing and implementing complex data pipelines and ETL workflows (e.g., using AWS Glue, Lambda, Spark, or equivalent), along with application performance optimization, data modeling, and distributed system design for large-scale data and analytics workloads.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture in AWS and/or Azure, including networking, security, and managed services, and designing systems that support scalability, security, reliability, and large-scale data processing requirements.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience in Python, Spark, and EMR.
  • Experience in Lakehouse and Fabric architecture.
  • Experience in Open-Source tools such as Apache Arrow, Parquet, Nifi, Airflow, Superset.
  • Demonstrated advancement of analytics to Agentic first pipelines such as Langchain.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $142,800 - $196,350, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
