In this role, you will work with the Advanced Markets team to support independent and affiliated agents in their work with high income and high net worth individuals as well as business owner clients. You will help deliver advanced marketing strategies and sales ideas - including business succession, premium finance, executive benefits, qualified plans - to our distribution partners and help in case design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in case design, sales skills and cross-selling skills with agents. Understanding of how life insurance products work to complete the implementation of advanced markets concepts.
  • Help identify advanced market planning concepts tied to the use of our life and annuity products and work with the team to assure smooth adoption of new and existing concepts.
  • Understand and communicate complex advanced markets concepts in simple, easy to understand terms.
  • Work with distribution leaders to pro-actively reach out to agents and sales organizations to conduct marketing and training programs. Conduct agent training sessions, via webinars, home office visits or in the field.
  • Stay on top of new product and tax developments and help identify new sales opportunities.
  • Travel 20% (when permitted).


Job Requirements
  • Knowledge of key advanced market concepts and willing to learn others.
  • Excellent people, presentation and communication skills. A demonstrated ability to help build out sales and marketing presentations and to synthesize complex topics in a compelling and visual manner.
  • Collaborate with distribution leaders, field leaders, wholesalers and agency partners to promote our key advanced market strategies
  • Understand life insurance and annuity products. A plus if there is an understanding of NLG products and illustration software.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Master, over time, various advanced markets case design software, including qualified plan systems.


Preferred Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CLU, ChFC, CFP, MBA, CPA or other advanced industry recognized designation preferred
  • Experience in the life insurance and annuity business
  • Experience with Advanced Markets concepts
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the financial services business
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check that may include fingerprinting

Base Pay Range. The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.

Additional Compensation and Benefits. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in National Life's discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to the rules governing such programs. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and National Life reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
